Two years in Pittsburgh, and I am still suffering from something akin to shock -- culture and otherwise. I have yet to find permanent employment; however, I am roughly midway through an eleven-month temporary assignment.The job itself is so-so, but my co-workers are stellar. One confided to me that she struggles daily to not jump on her desk and scream out to the maze of cubicle drones, "You are all dead inside!"
I hope my contract outlasts her sanity.
